Trust, the wind beneath your wings

Top athletes say it, soldiers know it and scientists substantiate it. Trust is crucial.

And yet our organizations are built on mistrust and suspicion. In control and in control. Trust is naive, irresponsible and certainly not businesslike.

And yes, if you think that control is really necessary, then your mistrust is indeed confirmed. But the opposite also turns out to be true. When you give trust, you reap dedication and commitment. So?

And the impact of trust goes further. A positive, expectant approach demonstrably improves people's qualities! Research from the 1970s - 1980s - the Pygmalion effect - already showed this.

Goethe already knew:Approach someone as he is and he will stay that way. Approach someone as he can be and he will become like that.
